ABOUT ME
My name is Guro Midtsund and I moved to Birmingham from Oslo, Norway, in November of 2017. After living my whole life in Norway, my husband and I, who is from Alabama originally, decided to move back to Birmingham to spend some time with our family and friends here. It was a big move and for me it was the beginning of a new chapter in life, and a new career in real estate.
What can I do to help you buy or sell your home?
In Norway, I worked as a Production Manager at one of Oslo´s largest music venues before starting my own independent company as a freelance project and production manager. I have gained extensive project management experience from large events like the Lillehammer 2016 Youth Olympic Games where I was Head of Victory Ceremonies. I also have broad experience on the production side; I have been a tour manager, I have facilitated operations for music festivals, corporate events, cultural projects, and music venues. All this diverse experience has given me a unique set as a real estate agent. I am intuitive about adapting to my clients’ needs, and turn around quick to find solutions.
As a former freelancer, I am no stranger to putting myself out there in order to connect the right property with the right buyer. Buying or selling property is an important decision, so I put a great deal of pride in being efficient, being organized, conducting thorough research, and delivering results on time. You’re already under enough stress - let me worry about the deadlines!
Locally, my husband and I lived in Crestwood North before moving to historic downtown Irondale. We absolutely love this area of Metro Birmingham. It is likely you will see me hiking at Ruffner Mountain, getting a coffee and snack at Crestwood Coffee, shopping for records at Seasick, or on my bike cruising down to one of the many breweries we have. You might also see me at concerts all over town, or simply exploring Downtown Birmingham and its surrounding neighborhoods. I love to go on adventures, or just drive to see where I end up! I also love to travel the world, hang out with friends, exercise, and explore all the natural beauty Alabama has to offer.
